Zeppelin Österreich GmbH, headquartered in Fischamend near Vienna, is the sales and service partner of Caterpillar (Cat) in Austria. The company sells around 200 construction machine types – from mini excavators, crawler excavators, mobile excavators and wheel loaders to dump trucks, dozers and rollers – complemented by Thwaites dumpers, Weber MT compaction technology and Power Systems. New and used machines, attachments, financing, rental and rent-to-buy complete the offering. The Special Solutions department designs and manufactures special equipment and complete machines such as swamp excavators, material handling excavators and long-reach mobile excavators in its own construction machinery metalworking shops; specialized undercarriages, booms, protective cabs and special hydraulics are built. The program also includes service, maintenance, spare parts, oil analysis, machine control (Trimble/SITECH, Cat Grade), fleet management (VisionLink) and training. Since 2024, purely battery-electric and cable-connected electric construction machines have also been offered. Customers come from earthmoving, extraction, recycling, demolition, road construction, agriculture and municipal sectors.
