About Ziegelwerk Stengel
Ziegelwerk Stengel is a family-run brick manufacturer which, according to its own statements, has existed for over 400 years and is one of the oldest family businesses in Bavaria. At the Donauwörth site (headquarters) as well as in Neuburg an der Donau, bricks are made from clay (brick clay) and water. The product range includes flat bricks and block bricks in various density classes and thermal conductivity values, small-format products such as perforated and solid bricks, complementary products such as U-shells, shutter and roller shutter boxes as well as thermal insulation and brick lintels. The products are designed to meet the requirements of energy-efficient construction; building owners select the appropriate brick depending on the construction project and energy efficiency class. In production, the waste heat from the brick kiln is used for drying, and a new kiln control system reduces energy consumption; raw material extraction in the clay pits takes place under the supervision of the mining authority with recultivation. Customers are building owners, architects, construction contractors, property developers and building material dealers in residential and multi-storey construction.
