About ZIEGRA
ZIEGRA Eismaschinen GmbH, based in Isernhagen near Hannover, has been developing and manufacturing industrial ice machines and the associated technology since 1957. The product range includes crushed ice machines (ZBE/UBE series) with 30 to 10,000 kg daily capacity, StreamIce® liquid ice machines with up to 24,000 liters daily capacity, trawler machines for ship installations, ice storage and automatic ice silos up to 20,000 kg capacity, as well as container ice factories. Manufacturing takes place at the Isernhagen site: freezing units such as cylinders and screws are produced on modern machining equipment, alongside production lines for small and medium series as well as for large systems and automatic ice dosing systems. Housings and storage units are predominantly made of stainless steel 1.4301. From 2014 onwards, the company switched to natural refrigerants such as propane (R290) and CO2 (R744). Fields of application include fish and seafood, meat processing, bakeries, supermarkets, gastronomy, laboratory and medicine, as well as chemistry and pharma. ZIEGRA machines are in operation in over 160 countries; wholly owned subsidiaries exist in England, Spain and France.
