About ZIEHL-ABEGG
ZIEHL-ABEGG is a systems manufacturer founded in 1910 by Emil Ziehl, headquartered in Künzelsau (Baden-Württemberg) with around 5,800 employees, 3,000 of them in Germany. The company develops, manufactures and sells axial and centrifugal fans, EC and AC motors, control and regulation technology as well as gearless elevator drives – the portfolio comprises around 30,000 products. Manufacturing includes injection molding of impellers made from the in-house developed high-performance composite ZAmid, cold forming of steel impellers, fusion welding of steels to DIN EN ISO 3834-2 (up to 3.5 m in length and 2 t unit weight), as well as electronics manufacturing and assembly. In the InVent development center, fans are measured in certified test rigs to DIN EN ISO 5801 and AMCA 210, with volume flows up to 100,000 m³/h and pressures up to 3,000 Pa. Customer industries include refrigeration technology, building and elevator technology, power plants and wind energy, chemical and petrochemical industry, painting and extraction systems, packaging and production machinery, cleanroom and medical technology as well as mobile applications. Customers worldwide are supplied via 114 sales locations.

Materials & Manufacturing Processes
ZAmid® high-performance composite
In-house developed composite material for injection-molded impellers produced in one piece without weld seams: lightweight, metal-like strength, corrosion-free, colorfast and 100% recyclable.
Steel
Used for cold-formed impellers (e.g. ZAbluefin) as well as welded housings and structures according to EN ISO/TR 15608 material groups.
Aluminium
Material for fan components and drive components, among others in the ZAbluefin program.
Stainless steel
Versions for painting and extraction systems as well as chemically or corrosively stressed environments.
