ZIPPS Skiwachse is a family business founded in 2002 by Frank Zipp, based in Waldbrunn in the Hessian Westerwald, operating as a GmbH since 2005. The company specialises in liquid glide waxes for all snow sports, including cross-country skiing, alpine skiing, biathlon, luge, tobogganing and snowboarding. The waxes are made from high-quality raw materials in its own laboratories with its own laboratory equipment; the entire process from development through production and filling to labelling and shipping is handled in-house. ZIPPS has expertise in coating technology, binders and additives and expands this knowledge through research projects with universities, among other things on snow conditions, the abrasion behaviour of ski wax and the development of a tribometer. Patents and utility models have been granted for several products. Distribution is via the company's own online shop, sports retail and importers in Austria, Liechtenstein, Switzerland, Slovenia, Norway, Sweden, Finland, Lithuania and Estonia. ZIPPS is an official supplier of the German national ski teams.
