About us
Zitherbau K. Marko is a German craft business from Münchberg in Upper Franconia, founded in 2000 by Karoline and Michael Marko. The company handcrafts chord zithers, table harps, hammered dulcimers and violin zithers entirely by hand – each instrument as an individual one-of-a-kind piece. The raw material is logs, which are processed into the finished sound body in the company's own workshop. In addition to new instrument building, the company offers restoration of old zithers, consulting and intergenerational workshops. In-house developments such as a major/minor system, a magnetic sheet music holder and integrated stage technology complement the traditional instrument-making craft.
