About ZMOTEC Solartechnik GmbH
ZMOTEC Solartechnik GmbH is a family business founded in 1997 and based in Saanen in the Bernese Oberland, specialising in thermal solar systems. The system developed by company founder Severin Zmoos operates pressureless, drains itself, requires no antifreeze and relies on a special storage tank heat exchanger system; the VarioSol E collector is certified according to SOLAR KEYMARK. Storage tanks are made of corrosion-resistant polypropylene and can also be welded directly on site where access is tight. In addition to the solar systems, ZMOTEC produces a self-developed wood-fired boiler made of stainless steel with a stainless steel corrugated tube heat exchanger for hygienic hot water extraction. The complete system is manufactured in Switzerland and Austria and comes with a 10-year warranty. Application areas include alpine huts, alpine dairies, holiday homes, SAC huts as well as garden and leisure facilities. Over more than 25 years, around 350 systems have been installed in the Saanenland/Simmental region and approx. 180 in the wider canton of Bern.

The collectors have been tested in various tests and are certified according to SOLAR KEYMARK; technical data and test results can be requested. A warranty of 10 years is granted on the complete system (excluding wear parts).
