About ZMT Österlein
ZMT F. Österlein GmbH was founded in 1990 by Fritz Österlein as a one-man business in Fichtenau and is today a manufacturing partner for industry in southern Germany and beyond. On approximately 3,800 m² of production space, more than 30 employees manufacture precision components and assemblies – from one-off parts to series production, according to drawing, sample or 3D data set. The range of services includes 3- and 5-axis CNC milling (large parts up to 5,000 mm in length), CNC turning up to Ø 2,020 mm including vertical turning, surface and cylindrical grinding, drilling, welding (MIG, MAG, TIG) and waterjet cutting. Materials machined include aluminium, stainless steel, chrome steel, structural steel, tool steel, plastics and composite materials; heat treatment and surface coating are performed via a supplier network. In addition, the company designs and builds special-purpose machines (3D SolidWorks), and offers retrofit, assembly service, spare-parts manufacturing and contract measurement services. Customers come from power plant construction, nuclear power technology, packaging machinery construction, mould making, automotive supply and other industries.
