Founded in 1918 by William Gegenheimer in Baldwin, New York, the company revolutionized offset printing with the Baldwin Press Washer and later introduced the Automatic Blanket Cleaning System. After international expansion and multiple acquisitions, Baldwin became part of the Barry-Wehmiller family in 2012 and was merged with five other Barry-Wehmiller companies into BW Converting in 2023. Documented customers include Consolidated Label, which uses the Baldwin Guardian PQV inspection system.
