Bustec Production Ltd. entwickelt und fertigt Hochleistungs-Datenerfassungssysteme und modulare Testsysteme auf Basis offener Plattformstandards wie LXI, PXIe und VXI. Das 1997 von Dr. Fred Bloennigen gegründete Unternehmen mit Sitz in Shannon, Irland, produziert LXI-Carrier, PXIe-Messkarten, VXI-Motherboards und Slot-0-Controller sowie isolierte Signal-Conditioning-Module und die eigene Datenakquisitionssoftware ProDAQ DAAS. Die modularen Funktionserweiterungskarten decken ADC- und DAC-Wandlung, Digital-I/O, Zähler/Timer, Schalten und Signalaufbereitung für Messgrößen wie Spannung, Strom, Temperatur, Druck, Dehnung, Schall und Vibration ab und erreichen Durchsätze bis 100 MB/s. Bustec-Systeme kommen in Motorenprüfständen, Windkanälen, der Überwachung von Gasturbinen und Kernkraftwerken, der Medizintechnik-Prüfung sowie der Luft- und Raumfahrt zum Einsatz; Kunden sind unter anderem Airbus, Boeing, Siemens, Rolls-Royce, Honeywell, Lockheed Martin und NASA. Seit 2000 betreibt das Unternehmen eine Zweigstelle in den USA und vertreibt seine Produkte weltweit über regionale Vertriebspartner.
