About Atlas Agro
Atlas Agro was founded in 2021 with the goal of producing low-carbon and carbon-free nitrogen fertilizers. The company produces green hydrogen via water electrolysis powered by renewable energy, separates nitrogen from air in an Air Separation Unit, and synthesizes green ammonia from these, which is further processed into nitric acid and calcium ammonium nitrate. The only raw materials used are renewable energy, air and water. The flagship project is the Pacific Green Fertilizer (PGF) plant in the Horn Rapids Industrial Park in Richland, Washington, with a planned capacity of 700,000 t of nitrogen fertilizer per year; the FEED study has been completed and the final investment decision was expected in early 2025. The products CAN27, AN20, CAN17 and CN9 are offered in liquid and solid form to farmers in the Pacific Northwest. Atlas Agro is part of Atlas Agro Holding AG (Switzerland) and, with a partnership and offtake agreement with International Raw Materials Ltd (IRM) as well as a project with Casa dos Ventos in Brazil, is pursuing the decarbonization of the agricultural supply chain.
