The Company
DESK Elektronik System Komponenten GmbH, based in Eppertshausen, has been designing, engineering and manufacturing electromechanics for all areas of electronics and electrical engineering since 1989. The product range comprises front panels and accessories, 19-inch (482.6 mm) rack-mount and subrack enclosures, desktop and folding enclosures, heat sinks, module carriers as well as products for NIM and CAMAC systems and Telco applications. Front panels, mechanical parts and enclosures are manufactured on modern CNC machines; materials are mainly aluminium alloys (AlMg1 F15, AlMg3, AlCuMg1 F40) as well as plastics such as Makrolon, POM, Plexiglas and PVC. Surface treatment services offered include anodising (also EMC anodising), chromating, aludising, pickling, wet painting, powder coating and printing using silkscreen, pad printing and sub-anodising processes. In addition to mechanical manufacturing, the company handles PCB layout, population and assembly, assembly and wiring of electromechanical modules, functional testing as well as packaging and shipping. Customers come from research and higher education, metrology, telecommunications and special machinery construction; since July 2020 the company has been certified to ISO 9001:2015.
