About us
FIBERTEC Faseroptik GmbH was founded in 1997 in Kollnau near Freiburg and specializes in the development and manufacture of fiber-optic products. The product range includes medical cold light cables in fused, bonded and glass-rod versions, fiber-optic sensors, fiber arrays, light guides made of glass and plastic fibers, cross-section converters, line lighting, feedthroughs and optical assemblies. In addition to standard products, the company produces custom solutions to customer specifications, including fiber rods for dental technology, fiber-optic illumination for endoscopy, cable and hose assembly as well as camera and PCB assembly. Industries served include medical and dental technology, endoscopy, sensor technology, robotics, automation, metrology and testing technology as well as spectroscopy. With 16 employees, FIBERTEC produces on 800 m² in Waldkirch near Freiburg according to DIN ISO 9001:2015 – from prototype to high-volume series. The cold light cables are available with active diameters of 2.5 to 4.8 mm and lengths up to 5000 mm.

High-quality glass fibers with excellent transmission properties for maximum light intensity in cold light cables and light guides.
Plastic fibers
Used in light guides for sensor technology across the entire wavelength range.
Silicone (hose)
Robust, highly flexible, transverse-pressure-resistant silicone hose guides the glass fibers with good bending behavior.
Aluminium (flat spiral)
A flat spiral inside the hose guarantees optimal tensile and pressure relief for the glass fibers.
