About GlassX
GLASSX AG, headquartered in Zurich, develops and markets facade products whose optical and thermal properties make buildings energetically sustainable while also meeting comfort and design requirements. Core products are PCM facade elements (GLASSX®comfort/crystal, GLASSX®store), in which a thin 15 mm layer of translucent phase-change material can absorb as much heat as a 25 cm thick concrete wall. The portfolio is complemented by Fluidglass, a system with circulating fluid between transparent panes that converts passive facades into active collectors, as well as vacuum glass with a slim design, high thermal insulation and sound protection. Product development was carried out in cooperation with research institutes such as ETH Zurich, EMPA Dübendorf and the Fraunhofer Institute for Solar Energy Systems. Production is handled by GLASSX AG through strong production partners; distribution takes place via an international network. Reference projects are located in Switzerland, Germany and Italy, including residential, commercial and school buildings.

Materials & Technologies
Glass
Base material of all facade and glazing elements.
Phase-Change Material (PCM)
Translucent layer in the glazing that stores heat and prevents overheating in summer.
Heat transfer fluid
Circulates between the panes in Fluidglass, turning the facade into a solar-thermal collector.
