M+C Schiffer GmbH has been operating at its site in Adnet near Salzburg in Austria since 1960. The company is part of the family-owned M+C Schiffer Group headquartered in Neustadt (Wied) near Cologne, an internationally active manufacturer of dental care products. At the Adnet plant, plastic parts are produced from all thermoplastics using single- and multi-component injection moulding, in particular toothbrushes and toothbrush components for renowned brands and the global market. The value chain includes, in addition to injection moulding, product development and development support, tufting of the toothbrushes, and automated packaging. The materials processed include, among others, POM, SBC copolymers and polypropylene; as part of ISCC PLUS certification, bio-based and recyclable raw materials are also processed under the mass balance approach. The company operates in multi-shift production on injection moulding machines, tufting machines and packaging machines.
