About Mitteldeutsche Möbelwerke GmbH
Mitteldeutsche Möbelwerke GmbH manufactures upholstered furniture under the Steinemann Polstermöbel brand using traditional craftsmanship in its own upholstery workshop in Wolmirstedt near Magdeburg. The product range includes couch suites, sofas, armchairs, stools, corner benches, boxspring and upholstered beds, upholstered loungers, sofa beds as well as individual furniture pieces, most of which are also available as custom and bespoke products. Production is largely carried out by hand; the production facilities include milling machines for foam padding, glulam processing systems, thermoforming systems for plastics, sanding and polishing machines for wood, and machines for automatic riveting, gluing and sewing of the covers. More than 8,000 fabrics, imitation leather and genuine leather from various suppliers are available as cover materials; padding is done with seat cold foam, seat foam or pocket springs, with frames also available in oak and glulam. In addition to private customers, the company furnishes offices, medical practices, hotels and other commercial premises and also offers reupholstering, sun protection, interior design as well as interior fitting and installation services. Products are sold via showrooms in Wolmirstedt and Stendal with delivery throughout Germany.
