About Salt Partners
Salt Partners Ltd., based in Zurich, is an independent consulting and engineering company for salt production, salt processing and hypersaline biotechnology. The company offers the full spectrum of project development: concept studies on products, resources, technologies and marketing, feasibility and financing studies, project management, delivery of technologies and equipment, turn-key implementation as well as commissioning of salt factories. The core of its services are proprietary processes such as HYDROSAL for salt purification with hydro-extraction of impurities, ASR for sulphate reduction in brine, SOLARSAL for solar-powered saltworks, BIOSAL for the biological management of solar saltworks and THERMOSAL for evaporation and crystallisation using waste heat. Materials treated include solar salt, sea salt, rock salt, by-product salt, potash and brine. The technologies are used in the chlor-alkali and soda industries, in mining (solution mining), in table salt refineries and vacuum salt plants. They are backed by more than 45 years of project experience worldwide, including the SALEX process developed by company founder Vladimir M. Sedivy.
