SAM Präzisionstechnik GmbH is a family-owned company based in Gauting near Munich that has been manufacturing precision devices for dental functional diagnostics and dental technology for over 40 years. From the need of a Munich dentist for a centrically stable, anatomically alignable articulator, the modular SAM articulator system (Schul Artikulator München) emerged, which was further developed into a fully adjustable system. The portfolio includes articulators and articulator kits, anatomical transfer bows, mounting and mounting plate systems, products for model fabrication such as AxioDrill II, base formers and split casts, as well as special devices for axiography such as the Condymeter III, Mandibular Positions Variator III and expansion measuring instruments. With the generational change in 2012, Florian Mack took over management and initiated the digital transformation: AxioPrisa, a digitally scannable bite fork holder for intraoral scanners, and AxioSnapMount connect analogue functional diagnostics with digital CAD/CAM workflows. The products are sold worldwide; services include user training, software, spare parts and accessories.
