Engineering with racetrack experience

Schmax _+_ engineering gmbh is a development service provider based in Salzburg, specializing in lightweight construction and composite engineering. The company supports customers from concept through stress analysis and design to production readiness and manufactures, among other things, monocoques using autoclave and RTM processes from fiber-reinforced plastics. Another focus is track engineering for racing teams: chassis setup, aerodynamics configuration and vehicle dynamics are optimized using simulation software and real-world data analysis. In addition, the company offers component testing for engines, powertrains, chassis and aerodynamic elements, including non-destructive testing (NDT) and on-site ultrasonic testing. With TheNeS, Schmax provides its own 1.5D solver for steady-state simulation of complex cooling systems, developed for motorsport and the automotive industry. Target industries include motorsport, automotive, aerospace, defense and yachting; there the team develops composite solutions for hull, deck, fittings and interior fittings as well as structural components such as body panels and monocoques for defense vehicles. Complementing this are prototyping, testing as well as consulting on certification and standards.
