About Schwanglas
Schwan Glas GmbH & Co. KG is a long-established glass processing company based in Düsseldorf. Founded in 1864 in Solingen, the family-owned company manufactures custom glass in its own production: cutting, miter cuts, drilling, cut-outs, polished edges, bevel grinding as well as V- and W-groove grinding, with complex shapes executed on a CNC machining center and using waterjet technology. The range of services also includes the production of toughened safety glass (ESG), laminated safety glass (VSG), casting resin laminated glass and insulating glass, an in-house paint shop (Colorcoat) and digital printing on glass (Glasprint). In addition, the company operates a glass wholesale business with its own warehouse and delivers with its own vehicle fleet including crane vehicles. The offering is complemented by consulting, planning, digital measuring via 3D scanning, UV glass bonding and installation. Customers come from the trades, interior design, hotels and gastronomy, retail and trade fair construction, galleries, offices and banks as well as hospitals and medical practices. Several hundred square meters of glass are processed and finished every day at the Düsseldorf site, in single-unit or series production.

Base glass for cutting, machining, painting and insulating glass.
Toughened safety glass
Thermally tempered safety glass for doors, showers and hygiene partitions.
Laminated safety glass
In-house production with different interlayers for safety and design.
Design glass with textile or metal fabric insert (VG TEX, VG mesh)
Laminated glass with decorative inserts in a textile or metallic look.
Casting resin laminated glass
For sound insulation and increased safety requirements.
Vacuum insulating glass (BENGglas®)
Insulating glass with maximum thermal insulation at only 8.3 mm thickness, among other uses for heritage conservation.
Switchable laminated glass (film laminate with liquid crystals)
Switches at the push of a button between opaque and transparent, e.g. for office and room partitioning.
Mirror glass with copper layer
Traditional core product since 1923, also available as illuminated and observation mirrors.
Acrylic glass (PMMA)
Carrier material for illuminated frames (imago:light).
