About Scrobby
Scrobby develops and markets the SCROBBY, a compact remote-controlled ground platform for millimeter-accurate measurement technology, inspection and exploration in hard-to-reach locations. The platform carries laser scanners from leading manufacturers such as Z+F, Trimble, FARO, Leica, RIEGL and YellowScan, as well as cameras, sensors, manipulators and robots. It can be converted between conventional steering wheels and omniwheels and features a sprung base plate with a centered connector for tripods and camera adapters. A ground station provides live video from a 3-axis gimbal camera with night vision mode as well as a wide-angle reversing camera and real-time telemetry with a remote control range of up to 300 meters. Optionally, a dual-band RTK GNSS module based on the u-blox F9P chip (BeiDou, Galileo, GLONASS, GPS, QZSS) is available. A Raspberry PI serves as the onboard computer for future computing and AI applications.

Technical Specifications
The telemetry permanently records wheel sensors and IMU data and outputs them as a log file; distance measurement in four directions and ceiling height measurement are carried out with an acoustic warning. Further features include four individually switchable LED spotlights and video recording on the platform or controller.
