About scuuro
scuuro GmbH develops and produces a bio-based ultra-black pigment inspired by the ultra-black skin structures of deep-sea fish. As a pure pigment, it achieves more than 99.95% light absorption and more than 99.0% in coatings. It is offered in two forms: as a sprayable, water-based coating formulation and as an ultra-fine pigment powder for industrial dispersion. Production is carried out via a scalable biosynthesis process using low-cost raw materials and an energy-efficient process. Fields of application include optics, sensors, displays, projectors, the automotive industry, design, cosmetics, the printing industry, paints and coatings, packaging, plastics and textiles. The company is headquartered in Berlin.
