SemicoMatCalc GmbH, based in Dänikon in the canton of Zurich, was founded in April 2023 by Dr. Axel Erlebach and specializes in semiconductor physics and TCAD device simulation. Founder Dr. Axel Erlebach studied theoretical physics, received his doctorate in semiconductor physics and worked for more than 37 years at research institutes (Fraunhofer-Gesellschaft), in the semiconductor industry (Zentrum Mikroelektronik Dresden) and at TCAD software developers (ISE AG, Synopsys); he has published 78 articles and one book and holds several patents. Customer projects and consulting experience exist in Japan, Taiwan, South Korea, Europe, China and the USA.
