About SemsoTec

SemsoTec GmbH, headquartered in Garching near Munich, is a technology and development partner for complete display-touch solutions with electronics and housings – from concept through prototyping to series production. The company covers the entire value chain for infotainment displays and control units, including engineering services such as lighting simulation, optics engineering, HMI development and embedded software. Core processes are optical bonding in an ISO 14644 Class 6 cleanroom, the patented Panther Black technology, glass screen printing, glass coating (AG/AF/AR), film lamination and PCB assembly (SMD). Materials include soda-lime glass, thermally tempered and chemically strengthened glass, aluminosilicate glass and PMMA. Customers come from automotive, e-mobility, agriculture, medical technology, smart home, aerospace, digital signage, marine and industrial automation. In addition to its headquarters in Garching, SemsoTec produces in Cham (since late 2022) and operates a competence center for film technology, lamination, glass screen printing and glass cutting in Brno (Czech Republic).

Materials & Processes

Floatglas

Soda-lime glass (standard float glass)

Untreated standard glass for cover lens applications.

ESG

Thermally tempered glass (> 2.85 mm)

For safety and impact resistance requirements.

CSV

Chemically strengthened glass (> 0.5 mm)

Thin, break-resistant glass for compact display stack-ups.

Al-Si

Aluminosilicate glass

High-quality cover glass with increased scratch and impact resistance.

PMMA

PMMA

Acrylic glass as an alternative to glass for cover lenses with printing and surface treatment.

ITO

ITO (touch sensor pattern)

Transparent conductive structure for capacitive touch sensors.

CFK

Carbon fiber (composite) materials

Used for product innovations in high-quality bicycle rims.

Bonding

Liquid silicone (optical bonding material)

Adhesive that completely fills the air gap between display, touch and glass during optical bonding.

Quality & Certification

The quality management system is certified according to ISO 9001:2015 (DEKRA) and, since mid-2021, according to IATF 16949:2016. The in-house laboratory performs photometric display measurement (color, ISO contrast, homogeneity, black mura), camera-based optical measurements as well as validation of lighting, touch and electronics; the fully automated DAISY display test rig produces automatic measurement reports to specification (e.g. automotive OEM).
