Precision systems for electrochemical surface research
Since 2004, Sensolytics GmbH has been developing scientific instrumentation for localized electrochemistry at its Bochum site. The portfolio comprises modular systems for scanning electrochemical microscopy (SECM) and the scanning droplet cell (SDC), micro- and nanoelectrodes made of platinum, gold, nickel and carbon, reference and counter electrodes, electrochemical measuring cells as well as accessories and modular extensions such as piezo positioning systems (1.5 nm resolution), shearforce distance control, photoelectrochemical modules (SPECM) and thin-film coating systems. The systems combine precision mechanics, electronics, software for positioning, measurement and data acquisition, and integration with Metrohm Autolab potentiostats. Customers are academic and industrial laboratories in the fields of corrosion research, catalysis, energy materials/battery research, bioelectrochemistry and materials science. Sensolytics configures systems to customer specifications, offers support, remote maintenance and training, and distributes via an international distributor network in Europe, Asia, America, Africa and Oceania. Over 200 publications are based on Sensolytics systems.
