About smarTK

smarTK e.K. is a Cologne-based provider of telephone systems for small and medium-sized enterprises. The offered telecom systems combine ISDN telephony and VoIP in a hybrid solution and cover functions such as call toggling, call forwarding, conference calling and hold music queues. In addition to installation, smarTK delivers a step-by-step migration of existing legacy systems, for example from SIEMENS HiPath, as well as the switchover to IP telephony in connection with the ISDN shutdown by Deutsche Telekom from the end of 2018. The heart of the systems is the open-source software Asterisk running on a Unix-like operating system; only proven, certified hardware components are used, and there are no hidden license costs. Further services include site-wide networking of telephony as well as company-wide distribution of faxes.
