SOLARFOCUS GmbH, headquartered in St. Ulrich bei Steyr (Upper Austria), is engaged in the research, development, production and distribution of solar and environmental technology products. Founded in 1993, the company manufactures pellet, log wood, combi and wood chip boilers for private, commercial and industrial applications up to 1800 kW, air-source heat pumps using the natural refrigerant R290, thermal solar collectors as well as storage and fresh water technology. Steel and stainless steel are used in boiler construction, while solar collectors consist of low-iron tempered glass, copper registers and anodized aluminium frames. Collector manufacturing is automated; ongoing research and collaboration with research institutes have produced product lines such as ecotop zero with an electrostatic particle filter or the hydro tower and hydro PELL system storage tanks based on the plug&play principle. Distribution is exclusively through specialized trade; branches exist in Lorsch (Germany) and Altishofen (Switzerland), complemented by a network of service technicians in Austria, Germany and northern Italy.
