Roofing expertise and photovoltaics

SOLCLIV GmbH develops, manufactures and distributes lightweight substructure systems and components for photovoltaic installations, especially for statically limited industrial and commercial roofs with low load reserves. The patented substructure SOLCLIV 1.0 and 2.0 is based on a 5° wedge system made of 100 % recycled plastic and is permanently bonded — entirely without roof penetration and without ballasting. With only 0.5 kg/m² of additional load (approx. 3.2–3.4 kg/m² including the lightweight module), it enables an economical PV layout on sensitive flat-roof membranes made of bitumen, PVC, TPO/FPO or EPDM. In addition to planning, manufacturing and distribution of the system, the company offers roof inspections prior to installation, object-specific pull-off tests on the respective roof surface, independent expert reports and damage analysis by master roofers and experts for building waterproofing. The company is based in Wardenburg near Oldenburg and operates throughout Germany with tested, CE- and ETA-certified components for flat-roof photovoltaics.
