About us
Sound Solutions Austria GmbH, based in Vienna (1100), has been developing micro-acoustic solutions for the entertainment industry since 1929 and has specialised since the mid-1990s in the miniaturisation of audio and haptic components for mobile applications. The portfolio comprises loudspeakers, actuators, earphone drivers and acoustic modules, which are developed according to customer wishes and requirements. The site serves as the global technology and innovation centre of Sound Solutions International and has been part of FIT (Foxconn Interconnect Technology), one of the largest contract manufacturers in the consumer industry, since 2021. The core competencies range from product development (NTI) and support during the NPI phase to series production, the development of assembly processes and manufacturing concepts, as well as materials research. For verification and sample creation, the company uses simulations, computational models, on-site prototyping facilities and laboratories with partially in-house developed test and measurement systems for acoustic characterisation and lifetime testing. In addition, the team supports the production sites in Asia on-site with process development and implementation.

Materials and Technologies
Copper (Coil)
Copper coils are used as voice coils in micro-speakers and actuators.
Magnetic material
Magnetic components form the static field in the assembly of micro-speakers.
Simulation and computational models
Simulation of product behaviour accelerates the development of loudspeakers and applications.
Prototyping
Various technologies and on-site facilities enable the rapid realisation of ideas in physical prototypes.
New Product Initiative (NPI)
Support with the transition from product sample to series production.
Acoustic characterisation and lifetime testing
Industry standards and in-house developed tools for acoustic characterisation and lifetime testing.
