High-Precision Gearboxes and Actuators from Slovakia
SPINEA, s.r.o., based in Haniska near Prešov (Slovakia), develops and manufactures high-precision cycloid reduction gearboxes of the TwinSpin® brand, in which the reduction gearbox and a radial-axial output bearing are integrated into a single unit. The portfolio includes several gearbox series (T, E, H, G, M, W) as well as the servomotor-based rotary actuators DriveSpin® (DS, DSH, DSM, DSF) in size ranges from 50 to 170 mm. The program is complemented by the RotoSpin® rotary positioning modules, Slew Solutions (slewing drives and slewing bearings), Harmonic Solutions, and custom special solutions under the name YourSpin. The products are characterized by high gear ratios (up to i=191), minimal lost motion, high torsional and tilting stiffness, and a compact design. They are mainly used in robotics and automation, machine tools, medical technology, radar and navigation systems, as well as defense and aerospace engineering; customers include KUKA, ABB, Comau, DMG Mori, TRUMPF and CERN, among others. Since 2022, SPINEA has been part of the rolling bearing manufacturer TIMKEN. Its own laboratories also offer metrology, materials testing and calibration services.
