About SPS Schaltanlagentechnik
SPS Schaltanlagentechnik Wittenberg GmbH designs and manufactures ready-to-connect low-voltage switchgear assemblies from 63 to 5,000 amperes for indoor and outdoor installation. The product range comprises main switchgear assemblies (FERRO-line V, TriLine & E-Power), sub-distribution boards and meter cabinets (COMFORT-line), industrial and control distribution boards (VX/AX-line), outdoor distribution boards, battery connection units as well as bypasses and manual bypass switches for UPS systems up to 1,000 kVA. As one of only a few companies in Germany, SPS has its own insulating material enclosure system (COMPACT-line) made of glass-fibre-reinforced, halogen-free polyester and polycarbonate. Every assembly is individually planned as a one-off, manufactured in craft-based production in Lutherstadt Wittenberg and documented with Eplan Electric P8. Customers come from the skilled trades, industry and energy supply; for the grid operator Stromnetz Berlin, SPS is listed for service-connection main distribution boards and transformer-based metering. The mid-sized, group-independent company with around 50 employees traces its history back to C.W. Neldner Elektrizitätsbau, founded in Berlin in 1898.

Materials & Systems
Glass-fibre-reinforced, halogen-free polyester
Material of the company's own COMPACT-line insulating material enclosure system for degree-of-protection class 2 distribution boards, among other things in the service-connection sector.
Polycarbonate
Insulating material for distribution board enclosures, in use alongside polyester since 1977.
Steel
Material for control cabinet and enclosure construction, e.g. for the FERRO-line main switchgear system.

Quality & Standards
Quality assurance is certified to DIN EN ISO 9001 (since 1999, currently ISO 9001:2015) and is verified through regular audits. The fundamental product standard is DIN EN 61439 / VDE 0660-600; the FERRO-line system is type-tested.
