About i-paint X
ST Engineering Applied Solutions GmbH (i-paint X) was founded in 2022 in Frankfurt am Main by a Singapore-based publicly listed company and a German management team. The company develops and operates semi-autonomous mobile painting robots for use on large industrial construction sites. The i-paint XL coats interior wall surfaces of production and warehouse halls up to 8 m in height – for priming, renovation and refurbishment work at a rate of up to 1,000 m² of wall surface per hour. Execution is carried out on a project basis by an accompanying four-person team, using coating systems from Akzo Nobel (Herbol Classic Grund, Sikkens Alpha Rapid Plus). Billing is project-based, with no purchase or rental models. In the pilot project at the sat Gruppe in Darmstadt, approximately 507 m² of wall surface were coated; since April 2025, field tests have been running under real conditions, followed by a planned market launch in Europe.
