About STAS
STAS nv is a Belgian family-owned company in its third generation and specialises in the manufacture of tippers and moving floor trailers in steel and aluminium. Production takes place at three plants in Waregem and Tournai (Belgium) and Mediaș (Romania), which together employ more than 500 staff and on average produce 1.700 tippers and 1.100 moving floor trailers per year. The engineers work on optimally strong lightweight construction, safe driving and unloading characteristics as well as numerous special options for the individual customisation of the semi-trailers. In the 1990s, under Francis Heyse the company specialised in tippers and moving floor trailers and built up a network of more than 40 certified dealers in more than 20 European countries. Automated machinery was integrated into the production process without neglecting craftsmanship. The products are aimed at the construction, recycling and agro segments; the headquarters THE NEST has been located since 2023 in a new office building at the E17 exit in Waregem.
