About SteamClock
SteamClock is a curiosities manufactory in Nyon in the canton of Vaud that produces handcrafted Nixie tube clocks. Founder Stéphane Hirschi, an engineer for electronics and software, combines genuine vintage Nixie tubes from the 1950s to 1970s with in-house developed electronics and handcrafted cases. The pieces are made in numbered small series as well as custom commissions; every object is assembled and tested in the workshop. In addition to electronics development, shaping, material selection and woodworking are part of the company's own value chain, while specialized craftsmen are brought in for other work. The models include variants with four and six tubes; more than one hundred pieces have gone to collectors in Switzerland and Europe since the company was founded.
