One Workshop. Five Makers.
STECHER ceramicparts GmbH is a manufacturing company in Uetendorf in the canton of Bern, specialising in the machining of high-performance ceramics. Since 2001, the company has been producing components made from technical ceramics for industry, medical technology and research. Its core competence lies in hard machining at the micrometer level: nine established processes – cut-off, surface and groove grinding, CNC contour grinding, cylindrical and centerless grinding, internal honing, lapping, polishing, ultra-sonic machining as well as laser engraving and cutting – are combined under one workshop roof. Materials machined include oxide ceramics (aluminium oxide, zirconium oxide), non-oxide ceramics (aluminium nitride, silicon nitride, silicon carbide, boron nitride), silicate ceramics as well as glasses and sapphire, down to tolerances of ±0.005 mm. The five-person team supports customers from materials consulting through prototyping to series production. In 2025, the machine park was expanded with two ultra-sonic machines from Dama.
