About STEWI

The STEWI AG (STEiner WInterthur) was founded in 1947 by Walter Steiner Senior and is a Swiss manufacturer of clothes dryers. The product portfolio includes rotary clotheslines, drying racks, ceiling dryers, wall-mounted dryers as well as accessories and spare parts, including well-known product lines such as Libelle®, Lady®, DeLuxe®, Jumbo®, Lift® and Teleskop®. While the first products were still made of wood and hemp ropes, the widely used models today have been produced from aluminium and plastic since the 1960s. All individual parts are manufactured at the production site in Saland; plastic parts are produced in the company's own injection moulding department, and aluminium constructions are powder-coated. During assembly, the company is supported by social institutions such as penal institutions and sheltered workshops. The patented products are distributed worldwide and are sold via distributors as well as the company's own online shop; since 2023 the STEWI Group has belonged to Reichardt AG based in Ruggell (FL).
