About Stratus Vision
Stratus Vision GmbH develops and sells systems for automated optical inspection (AOI) of unpopulated electronic structures such as ceramic multilayer hybrids, LTCC and HTCC, wafers, reticles (chrome masks), PCBs, DBC as well as screen-printed, electroplated or sputtered layers. The patented technology detects defects such as print shift, scratches, contamination, screen-printing errors and via errors directly after the manufacturing process (in-line) or on finished and semi-finished substrates (off-line). Almost all systems use the SPIN software platform, which enables CAD-based inspection setups within minutes; according to the manufacturer, AI-based defect categorization achieves a reliability of 99.5%. In addition to inspection systems, the company offers high-temperature furnace solutions (Fast Fire Furnace, Controlled Atmosphere) as well as handling solutions. Customers come from industries such as automotive electronics, consumer electronics, pharmaceuticals, semiconductors and sensor technology; there are customers and partners in all major markets worldwide. The company was founded in 2003 in Munich and has been based in Puchheim near Munich since April 2020.

EPP (Electronic Production Partners GmbH) concludes a contract with the Irish company VIGITEC for the exclusive distribution of AOI systems for the entire European market.

Buy-out agreement between VIGITEC and Henry & Jeri Stenger regarding the AOI product line.

Founding of STRATUS VISION GmbH in Munich; Damien Tobin and Vincent Fitzgerald become co-owners and lead the further development of the inspection technology.
