About TACTILIA
TACTILIA is a spin-out from SCHUNK, the world market leader in gripping technology, and develops robotic gripper hands together with the associated grip skill software as an integrated system. The product portfolio comprises three hand platforms on a common engineering basis: the servo-electric three-finger gripper hand SDH (7 DOF) for high-frequency industrial tasks, the DGUV-certified five-finger gripper hand SVH (20 DOF, 9 actuators, spindle drive) with around a decade of industrial deployment history, and the tendon-driven Power-Hand SIH (11 DOF, 5 actuators) for force-intensive handling. Each hand is delivered with trained grip skills via an open API for any robot platform, complemented by an SDK for integration and extension. The flagship skill is box and container handling with high variance in size, weight and height. Training, stress testing and validation take place in the Grip Lab at 15 locations worldwide with 6-axis force/torque sensing, based on the global SCHUNK test infrastructure. Fingers are wear parts, designed for one million cycles.
