About Technica Engineering
Technica Engineering GmbH develops and validates electrical and electronic systems for vehicles. The company combines its own hardware and software products – capture modules, Ethernet switches, MediaConverters, SFP modules and test benches/HIL systems – with engineering services in E/E architecture, functional integration, platform testing, automotive security and functional safety according to ISO 26262. As an early player in Automotive Ethernet (since 2008), Technica has worked on zonal architectures, TSN and MACsec for vehicle networks. Its customers include global OEMs and tier suppliers, among them BMW, BMW Brilliance Automotive, Spotlight Automotive, Valeo and Applus IDIADA. The headquarters are located in Munich; further sites exist in Vigo, Sant Cugat del Vallès (Barcelona) and Novi near Detroit. The company is active in standardization bodies such as AUTOSAR, OPEN Alliance, ASAM, MIPI Alliance and the Automotive SerDes Alliance.
