About TENTA VISION
TENTA VISION GmbH, based in Trier, develops and manufactures inspection systems based on camera tomography, a non-destructive testing method built on laser speckle interferometry. The technology detects external and internal defects such as disbonding, kissing bonds, air inclusions, delaminations, shrinkage cavities, inclusions and cracks in real time and without contact – no X-ray radiation required, up to 30 mm deep in non-metals, with automated defect detection from 150 µm diameter. The portfolio comprises three levels of automation: a Mobile System for on-site inspections, a Lab System for small series, parameter studies and feasibility analyses, and an In-Line System for 100 % inspection with MES/database integration. Hardware and software are developed and manufactured in-house. Customers come from the automotive, aerospace, electronics, mechanical engineering, consumer goods and medical technology industries. In addition to the systems, the company offers feasibility analyses, system design, installation, calibration, training as well as trial days for prototypes.

Testable materials and applications
Camera tomography (laser speckle interferometry)
Contactless, non-destructive real-time inspection of internal and external defects up to 30 mm depth without X-ray radiation.
Adhesives / adhesive bonds
Non-destructive adhesion testing including kissing bonds, air inclusions and contaminations, e.g. acrylic foam adhesive tapes.
Thermoplastic and thermoset plastics (also reinforced)
Inspection of distribution and stiffness homogeneity.
Elastomers, rubber and foams
Characterization of soft, inhomogeneous materials with maximum tomographic penetration depth.
Fiber composite materials
Detection of delaminations, fiber breaks and porosities in complex structures.
Potting compounds (PCB potting)
In-line inspection of air inclusions and adhesion between circuit board and potting compound.
