About Titan Wind Energy
Titan Wind Energy (Germany) GmbH produces XXL monopiles — steel foundations for offshore wind turbines — in Cuxhaven. On a 750,000 m² site with 110,000 m² of covered production area, a production facility is being built that covers the entire manufacturing chain from steel plate via welded joints and coating through to the finished offshore foundation. The monopiles reach individual weights of up to 3,500 tonnes, lengths of up to 140 metres, diameters of up to 14 metres and wall thicknesses of up to 160 millimetres. The direct port connection at Berth 8 in the Port of Cuxhaven enables the delivery of steel plates by sea as well as just-in-time loading of the finished foundations at the quay edge. In addition, the company offers marshalling and staging services as well as pre-assembly of transition pieces. The planned production capacity is 350,000 tonnes per year with 650 regional jobs.
