About TPS-Technitube
TPS-Technitube Röhrenwerke GmbH, based in Daun (Eifel), manufactures seamless, cold-formed tubes made from stainless steel and nickel as well as titanium alloys in the dimensional range OD 5.0–60.3 mm. A second production plant in Nerdlen produces oilfield tubes (Oil Country Tubular Goods, OCTG) for the oil and gas industry. The manufacturing process includes cold pilger rolling, cold drawing, thread cutting, bending, tube cutting and deburring, end finishing, and heat treatment by bright annealing. Quality assurance is carried out, among other methods, by ultrasonic testing and AI-assisted endoscopy of the tube inner surface. In addition, the company offers warehousing and distribution of tubes and tube accessories. Customer industries include the oil and gas industry, the automotive industry (historically ISO/TS 16949 certified) and industrial projects. In 2025, the energy management system was certified to ISO 50001:2018.

Materials & Processes
Stainless steel (rust-resistant steels)
Base material of the stainless steel tube plant for seamless, cold-formed tubes in the range OD 5.0–60.3 mm.
Nickel alloys
For tubes with elevated corrosion and temperature requirements, in the stainless steel tube program since 1983.
Titanium alloys
Used for demanding applications; firmly part of the stainless steel tube plant's product program since 2002.
Steel (low- to high-alloy steel grades)
Material basis for oilfield tubes (OCTG) as well as tube forming, tube closure and tube connection fittings.
Cold pilger rolling / cold drawing
Forming processes for seamless tubes with eight cold pilger mills at the Daun stainless steel tube plant.
Bright annealing (heat treatment)
Heat treatment of the tubes in two bright annealing furnaces for microstructure and property adjustment.
