Based in Kaiserslautern, urbanoid GmbH develops, produces and sells compact lifestyle camping trailers. The core product is the Booba One tent trailer, which emerged after around three years of development: with a permissible gross weight of 400 kg, it is approved unbraked for category B driving licences, fits in a standard garage and can be towed by almost any passenger car as well as by quads and trikes. The inflatable tent is set up in around two minutes and the trailer is ready to sleep in within about 5 to 7 minutes; it offers four seats and two sleeping berths. When operated with an electric car, there is no additional consumption of around 15%. The founders Thomas Offenbeck and Martin Hoffmann bring more than 25 years of experience in product development; patents and road approval are in place, and from 2026 the Booba One will be delivered for €15,900 incl. VAT. The company was awarded the Rhineland-Palatinate Design Award 2024.
