UserUnknown is a Swiss startup founded in 2021, which emerged from a student idea. The company develops FlyQ, an autonomous drone shaped like a flying ball that can be physically hit by players with a bat and reacts to hits. The flexible core of the bat allows hitting without damage; interactive lighting and motion-capture functions extend the gameplay. The ball's behavior is fully programmable, enabling trajectories that would not be possible with a normal ball. The three-person team covers software/firmware, embedded systems and electronics, and is currently working on a prototype for beta testing. The idea originated during the final year of study and was incubated at -Pulse.
