About Ushio Europe
Ushio is a manufacturer of specialized industrial light sources and associated equipment. The portfolio covers the entire light spectrum: UV lamps and UV LED modules for curing, disinfection and lithography, excimer lamps and modules (172 nm and 222 nm) for surface cleaning, activation and UV disinfection, IR lamps and modules for heating processes such as thermoforming, PET blow molding, drying and soldering, as well as laser diodes and xenon, halogen and HPS lamps. Founded in 1985 and headquartered in Oude Meer (Netherlands), Ushio Europe B.V. combines sales, application laboratories and technical process development for the European market; Ushio Germany GmbH in Steinhöring (founded 1968, formerly BLV) is responsible for development and sales as well as R&D and component sourcing for EUV light sources. In Poland (Błonie near Warsaw), the group operates a 6,000 m² production facility. Fields of application include semiconductor manufacturing, printing, medicine, food treatment, agriculture, projection, surface treatment, analytics and disinfection. The corporate group operates worldwide with 46 companies and more than 6,000 employees (as of August 2025).
