About VARIOBOT
VARIOBOT is a sole proprietorship founded in 2013 by Tino Werner, based in Eggenstein-Leopoldshafen near Karlsruhe. The company develops and distributes nature-inspired robot kits: the plug-together kit varikabi, the soldering kit varikabo and the programmable robot ant variAnt with Arduino control. The kits use patented sensor technology with light sensors and analog transistor circuits or nano-board control and respond to differences in brightness, shadows and floor markings. Parts of the models are built from Fischertechnik blocks (plastic) as well as electronic components such as LEDs, transistors, sensors and microcontrollers. On site, the kits are assembled and tested by people with disabilities; the soldering kit varikabo is offered as an electronics soldering kit. The products target education and school lessons, toys and learning aids, and robotics experimentation accessories for children, teenagers and adults, and show 12 different behaviors depending on the sensor setting. In addition, VARIOBOT offers robot workshops, extension sets, accessories and manuals.
