About Versatile Robotics
Versatile Robotics GmbH develops control software for robots that enables safe collaboration between humans and machines with high precision, stability and flexibility. Conventional robot controllers often require extensive adaptation effort and suffer from instabilities such as vibrations, overshooting and limited precision; the company's software overcomes these limitations and allows faster robot movements without compromising safety in human-robot interaction. The compliant multi-joint control, originally developed for humanoid robots with dozens of joints, is also suitable for cobots and industrial robots. The technology is based on the patented MPTC control method of the managing director Dr.-Ing. Johannes Englsberger and is designed to master positioning, interaction and force generation simultaneously. The company is a spin-off of the German Aerospace Center (DLR) and is headquartered in Weßling near Munich.
