About Vigier Rail
Vigier Rail is the only Swiss company manufacturing concrete sleepers for railways and is one of the leading concrete products manufacturers for the railway industry. At the Müntschemier plant, 200'000 to 300'000 sleepers are produced annually on modern facilities: track and turnout sleepers for standard and metre gauge in ballasted track and on ballastless track, LVT individual blocks using the late demoulding process with self-compacting concrete, and tramway solutions for street-integrated track with axle loads up to 160 kN. Prestressed sleepers are produced using the long-line process, special applications using the instant demoulding process; custom production to individual specifications is part of the offering. The product range is complemented by a railway platform system, mast foundation heads, and technical consulting with CAD drawings and structural calculations. Vigier Rail operates throughout Europe, is a licensee of the LVT ballastless track system, and delivers 'just in time' via its own rail siding and transport fleet right to the installation site, including placement with its own placing equipment.

Quality
The products are tested in the in-house laboratory: concrete tests according to EN 12350, EN 12390 and EN 206, sleeper tests according to EN 13230 (bending tests, load tests on fastening components, dimensional and gauge control) as well as monitoring of prestressing. Customer audits and factory production controls by certified bodies, along with internal audits, ensure compliance with the standards.
