Vimar SpA is an Italian manufacturer of electrical installation equipment, home automation and smart home systems headquartered in Marostica (VI), north-eastern Italy. Founded in 1945 by Walter Viaro and Francesco Gusi, the company develops, manufactures and distributes switch ranges, sockets, room thermostats, video door entry systems (Elvox), video surveillance, burglar alarm and nurse call systems as well as structured copper and fiber optic cabling. The sales portfolio comprises around 15,000 standard articles, which are delivered annually to over 100 countries. At its Marostica site, Vimar operates four production plants and a logistics and production hub planned according to sustainability criteria. For the Vimar View App and the ecosystem of interconnected systems (View IoT, By-me Plus, KNX automation), the company invests over 8% of annual revenue in research and development, employs more than 170 designers and has filed more than 200 patents. International presence is maintained through nine branches; reference projects include, among others, the Katara Towers in Doha.
