About Walor
The Walor Group is a French, family-owned manufacturer of mechanical automotive components headquartered in Laval and today part of the FerrAl United group. Its manufacturing spectrum covers cold and semi-hot extrusion (forward/backward impact extrusion), forging, machining/Décolletage as well as the assembly of complete modules. In high-volume production, the group manufactures parts for drivetrain and transmission, steering systems, brakes, chassis, body, passive vehicle safety (including airbag and gas generator components) and energy applications – predominantly from steel and stainless steel. Walor also handles design and co-conception with customers and operates a technology and development centre with a test centre in Laval. Founded in 1993 in Legé, the group consolidated through acquisitions (including the Gévelot forming division in 2017, Ateliers des Janves and Ardennes Machining Industries in 2018, and the Hirschvogel Columbus site in 2024) to more than a dozen production sites across Europe, China, Mexico and the USA. Since 2021, Walor has produced components for Toyota hybrid vehicles assembled in Europe; German production takes place in Vöhrenbach (cold extrusion, stamped parts).
